The Captain Dillon Rinaldo Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Captain Dillon Rinaldo of the Baltimore City Fire Department. On October 19, 2023, Captain Rinaldo sustained severe injuries while courageously battling a fire. After days in the hospital, Dillon’s life was tragically cut short on October 24, 2023. The impact of his service and kindness will never fade.
Dillon was more than a firefighter…he was a leader, a mentor, a son, a brother, and a friend. His bravery, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting others embody the true spirit of the fire service. His sacrifice reminds us of the risks firefighters face each day in their mission to serve and protect their communities.
In his memory, we founded the Captain Dillon Rinaldo Foundation. Our mission is to support firefighters and their families in their greatest times of need. Whether they are facing injury, illness, or the devastating loss of a loved one. Through our efforts, we strive to carry forward Dillon’s legacy of service, compassion, and brotherhood.
This foundation is not just about remembering Dillon, it is about continuing the work he lived for:
Standing by our brothers and sisters in the fire service, just as he always did.
